Athos, but by the grace of God have been led to prayer of the heart through reading The Way of a Pilgrim and the Philokalia on Prayer of the Heart. I have been saying the prayer for many hours getting up early every morning for almost ten years now and the affect on me has been profound. One can be a monk in this present evil and wicked world if one puts one's mind to it. I live amongst Protestant Christians who have no idea of the inner life that is available through the Jesus Prayer. Nor are they receptive to it. The Jesus Prayer brought me out of the spiritual wickedness of the new age, yoga, and eastern religions which only promise what the Jesus Prayer delivers. I have come to believe one must be called to this prayer for it to be effective. am living proof that one does not have to be Orthodox or Catholic to benefit from this prayer. Read scripture and say this prayer and be blessed as you never imagined. Psa_16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Fall in love with Jesus. Read scripture over and over and be amazed at the errors of modern Christianity.

A pilgrim in Florida.Voice CryingInTheWildernesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09765134812248845666noreply@blogger.com
